0956 GMT - Tesla stock climbs premarket after Elon Musk's electric-car maker had its worst day of trading since 2020. Tesla shares closed more than 15% lower on Monday following weak sales data and amid concerns over the role Musk is playing in the Trump administration. However, Tesla shares are up 4.6% Tuesday premarket, touching a high of $233.50. President Trump defended Musk, saying in an overnight post on his Truth Social platform that the billionaire was doing a "fantastic job" and vowed to buy a new Tesla as a show of confidence and support.
