美国交通部长肖恩·达菲周五在节目中表示，波音公司在经历了2024年1月一架全新737 MAX客机的空中紧急事故，以及2018年和2019年两起致命空难后，已偏离正轨并失去了美国公众的信任。
达菲同时指出，美国联邦航空管理局（FAA）尚未准备解除对737 MAX机型每月38架的生产限制。
达菲表示：“（波音）已失去信任，必须审视其制造流程，严格把控质量，必须将标准提升到令美国联邦航空管理局、美国公众及航空公司相信其生产的是绝对安全飞机的水平。”
