1158 GMT - Shares of U.S. auto companies are down Thursday premarket after President Trump said he would impose 25% tariffs on global automotive imports to the U.S. General Motors stock falls 6.3%, touching a premarket low of $46.88. Ford Motor shares are down 1.2% premarket, with a low point of $9.83. Auto stocks in Europe and Asia also fell earlier in the day, with Jeep and Dodge maker Stellantis down 4% in Milan and South Korea's Hyundai Motor down 4.3%. The U.S. will start collecting the tariffs on April 3 on top of existing duties. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
