智通财经APP获悉，芯片制造商迈威尔科技(MRVL.US)同意以25亿美元现金将其汽车网络业务出售给英飞凌。该交易预计将在2025年完成。受此消息影响，截至发稿，迈威尔科技周一美股盘后涨超3%。
据悉，迈威尔科技汽车网络业务今年的营收有望达到2.25亿至2.5亿美元，毛利率约为60%。在近几个季度，汽车零部件一直是芯片行业的薄弱环节，部分原因是电动汽车销售低迷。迈威尔科技一直将更多精力放在数据中心芯片上，该业务营收在去年第四季度同比增长了78%。相比之下，其汽车和工业部门的营收仅同比增长了约4%。迈威尔科技计划在定于5月29日举行的第一季度业绩回顾电话会议上讨论此次交易。
英飞凌在一份声明中表示，迈威尔科技汽车网络业务的客户包括50多家汽车制造商。这家德国公司正在利用现有的流动性和额外的债务为这笔交易融资。该业务将成为英飞凌汽车部门的一部分。其目标是通过结合研发和利用生产来推动成本节约。
