U.S. Stocks Rebound on Tariff Relief -- Market Talk

1615 ET [Dow Jones]--U.S. stocks stage a remarkable recovery in the last hours of trade after Trump posted in social media he was suspending tariffs on dozes of countries. Airlines are among the S&P 500's top gainers. United Airlines rises 27% and Delta gains 23%. The tech sector leads the rally, up 14%. Tesla is up 23% and Nvidia gains 19%. Data Thursday are expected to show March inflation just slightly cooler. Nasdaq closes 12% higher, at 17125, the S&P 500 advances 10% to 5457 and the DJIA adds 8%, or 2963 points, the highest one-day points gain on record, to 40608. (paulo.trevisani@wsj.com)
