CHICAGO, April 8 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans were steady to lower in the U.S. Midwest on Tuesday as futures rose on technical trading, while dealers monitored weather in the U.S. corn belt.
* The corn basis rose at a Nebraska processor and an Indiana ethanol plant. The basis fell at an Illinois river terminal.
* The soy basis fell at an Ohio elevator and two river terminals. The basis rose at an Iowa processor.
* Grain and oilseed futures made a recovery on Tuesday after heading into oversold territory.
* Traders also positioned ahead of the USDA's upcoming supply and demand report, due on Thursday, and assessed the impact of heavy rains and flooding that struck the central U.S. in recent weeks, analysts said.
* U.S. exporters sold 240,000 metric tons of corn to Spain for 2024/25 delivery, the USDA reported.
* Heavy rains in part of the U.S. Midwest, which may slow early U.S. planting, and dryness in Brazil have also underpinned corn futures.
* CBOT May soybeans SK25 were last up 9-1/2 cents to $9.92-1/2 per bushel as of midday. May corn CK25 was last up 4-1/2 cents to $4.69 a bushel.
