Service Corporation International (SCI) shares surged 9.84% in after-hours trading on Wednesday, following the company's better-than-expected fourth-quarter results and an optimistic outlook for 2025.
The largest provider of deathcare products and services in North America reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.06 for the fourth quarter, beating analysts' estimates of $1.05. Revenue grew 4% year-over-year to $1.09 billion, also exceeding expectations of $1.08 billion.
For 2025, SCI provided guidance for adjusted earnings per share in the range of $3.70 to $4.00, with a midpoint of $3.85. This midpoint is in line with the company's long-term growth framework of 8% to 12% and surpassed analysts' consensus estimate of $3.93.
