US stocks rose for a third day on Tuesday (Mar 25) in a row despite souring consumer confidence — and as investors weighed whether President Trump would temper his plans for upcoming tariffs.

Apple is in the process of placing orders for about $1 billion in Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems, Loop Capital analyst Ananda Baruah revealed in a note to investors late Monday, noting that those orders equal to around 250 AI servers at $3.7 million to $4 million apiece.
Baruah said Apple is working with server builders Dell Technologies and Super Micro Computer on its large server cluster to support generative AI applications. "AAPL [Apple] is officially in the large server cluster Gen AI game and SMCI [Super Micro Computer] & Dell are the key server partners," he wrote in the note. "While we are still gathering fuller context, this appears to have the potential to be a Gen AI LLM (large language model) cluster."

Shares of GameStop Corp. rose 12% in premarket trading on wednesday after the videogame retailer and original meme-stock company announced its eagerly anticipated foray into bitcoin.
In a short statement, GameStop said its board had unanimously approved an update to its investment policy to add bitcoin (BTCUSD) as a treasury-reserve asset. The move did not come completely out of the blue, as bitcoin buzz has swirled around GameStop and its chief executive, Ryan Cohen, in recent weeks.
GameStop also reported its fourth-quarter results late Tuesday. The company posted sales of $1.283 billion for the quarter ended Feb. 1, down from $1.794 billion in the same period last year. The average estimate among two analysts surveyed by FactSet was for revenue of $1.477 billion.
GameStop earned $131.3 million, or 29 cents cents a share, in the quarter, up from $63.1 million, or 21 cents a share, in the same period last year - marking the company's third consecutive quarterly profit.
Traders are bullish on GameStop shares even before earnings release. A total number of 101,896 options related to GameStop was traded on Tuesday, of which 79% were call options. A particularly high trading volume was seen for the $30 strike call option expiring this Friday, with a total number of 8,691 option contracts traded as of Tuesday.
