Shares of BigBear.ai Holdings (BBAI) surged 9.25% in the intraday trading session on Tuesday, following the company's announcement of a collaboration with Proof Labs to develop an advanced cyber resiliency solution for the U.S. Department of the Air Force.
The partnership aims to leverage BigBear.ai's artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities, integrating them with Proof Labs' cutting-edge cyber resiliency technology. The Cyber Resilient On-Orbit (CROO) solution will enhance the security of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force satellite networks against cyberattacks.
BigBear.ai will train the CROO system using AI/ML algorithms to detect and alert against simulated cyber threats targeting space assets. The solution will continuously monitor satellite systems, employing real-time anomaly detection and threat alerts to safeguard the critical space infrastructure.
