Shares of Cemex SAB de CV (NYSE: CX) plunged more than 5% in pre-market trading on Sunday, after the Mexican cement company reported weaker-than-expected results for the third quarter of 2024.
Cemex's Q3 earnings per share came in at $0.14, missing analysts' estimates of $0.19 by a significant margin of 26.32%. The company's quarterly sales of $4.090 billion also fell short of the consensus estimate of $4.305 billion by 4.99%, representing an 8.77% decline compared to the same period last year.
