Shares of Trinity Capital Inc. (TRIN) surged 5.03% in the pre-market trading session on Wednesday, following the company's impressive fourth-quarter and full-year 2024 financial results.
The alternative asset manager reported a record quarterly net investment income of $35 million, or $0.58 per share, surpassing the analyst consensus estimate of $0.52 per share. Total investment income for the quarter stood at $70.83 million, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $65.07 million.
For the full year 2024, Trinity Capital reported a record net investment income of $115.8 million, or $2.20 per share. Total investment income grew by 30.7% year-over-year to $237.7 million, driven by strong originations and disciplined credit and portfolio management.
