Sinjia Land's (SGX:5HH) independent chairman, Cheung Chi Kin, retired from the role, effective Tuesday, a filing with the Singapore Exchange said the same day.

Kin served as the company's chairman since May 2016.

He also served as the chairman of the board's remuneration committee and as a member of the audit and nominating committees.

Shares of the integrated mechanical components manufacturer slumped 8% in recent trade.
