China Communications Services (HKG:0552) attributable profit rose to 2.12 billion yuan in the first half from 2.03 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to an interim report filed Friday with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Earnings per share at the telecommunication infrastructure service company increased to 0.307 yuan from 0.294 yuan in the previous year.
Revenue grew to 74.4 billion yuan from 73.2 billion yuan a year earlier.
Shares jumped 2% during Friday's afternoon trading.
