China Eastern Airlines' (SHA:600115, HKG:0670) passenger capacity grew 28.8% to 24.2 billion available seat kilometers in August from 18.8 billion available seat kilometers a year earlier, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Passenger count rose 18.5% to 13.8 million from 11.7 million a year earlier, while cargo capacity increased 19% to 814.8 million available freight ton-kilometers from 683.4 million available freight ton-kilometers, the filing said.
