China Petroleum & Chemical (SHA:600028, HKG:0386) or Sinopec repurchased shares worth 21.1 million yuan, according to a Wednesday filing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The oil and gas giant bought back 3.3 million A shares, or 0.003% of the company's total share capital, at between 6.4 yuan and 6.24 yuan apiece, the filing said.

Shares of the company slipped more than 1% on both the Hong Kong and Shanghai bourses.
