Cathay Pacific's (HKG:0293) passenger count reached nearly 2.1 million passengers in August, up 16% from the year-ago period, a Tuesday bourse filing said.

Available seat kilometers for the month also saw a 20% rise year over year.

In the first eight months of 2024, the number of passengers carried rose by 30% to a little over 14.7 million, with a 36.1% year-over-year boost in available seat kilometers.

The airline carried 124,236 tonnes of cargo in August, up 6.3% from August 2023, with available cargo ton kilometers rising by 2.1% from a year prior.
