Noble Helium (ASX:NHE) secured approval from the Tanzanian Mining Commission to award a contract to local firm BoreXpert to conduct a drill operation at the Western Rukwa area, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Rig mobilization is scheduled before the end of October as part of a shallow appraisal program in the area, the filing said.

Shares of Noble Helium jumped past 8% in recent Friday trade.
