Iridex Names Mercer New CEO, Succeeding Bruce

Iridex said that it promoted Patrick Mercer to be its chief executive officer and president, succeeding David Bruce, who is leaving the company.

The ophthamology laser company on Thursday said that it also named Chairman Scott Shuda its executive chairman following the appointment of Mercer.

Mercer previously served as Iridex's operating chief and president.
