Evergrande Securities (Hong Kong) has terminated an agreement under which it acted as China New Economy Fund's (HKG:0080) investment manager effective Oct. 4, a Thursday bourse filing said.

Evergrande Securities (Hong Kong) has decided to discontinue investment management services to all investment companies listed under Chapter 21 of the Listing Rules.

The securities investor is currently looking for a new investment manager and will make further announcements as and when needed.

Shares of the company closed nearly 44% higher on Thursday.
