Airbus Could Downgrade Plane Delivery Target -- Market Talk

0839 GMT - Airbus could lower its annual aircraft delivery target once again when it reports third-quarter earnings on Oct. 30, UBS analyst Ian Douglas-Pennant writes in a research note. Data from aviation analytics firm Cirium indicate the European plane maker delivered just 45 commercial aircraft in September, a development Douglas-Pennant says points to mounting supply-chain hurdles. Airbus already cut its target in June to roughly 770 plane deliveries from about 800 due to challenges in procuring engines, aerostructures and cabin equipment. The analyst is now forecasting 750 deliveries this year. Airbus shares trade 1.8% lower at 125.08 euros. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
