The Australian Securities and Investments Commission agreed to extend Alto Metals' (ASX:AME) 2024 annual general meeting to Feb. 1, 2025, from Nov. 30, 2024, as the mining company awaits the outcome of its acquisition by Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR), according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

If the scheme comprising the acquisition is implemented as scheduled on Dec. 9 or no later than Feb. 1, 2025, Alto is no longer required to hold its annual general meeting.

Alto Metals' shares slid 2% in recent trade.
