Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Thursday Trading

Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were sharply higher Thursday morning, rising 1.56% to 2,118.62 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by online game developer Gravity (GRVY) and semiconductor company ASE Technology (ASX), which climbed 11% and 4.3% respectively. They were followed by fintech firm Pintec Technology (PT), which rose 2.2%.

The decliners from North Asia were led by video-sharing platform Bilibili (BILI) and live-streaming game service HUYA (HUYA), which fell 6.5% and 5.7% respectively. They were followed by consumer lending firm LexinFintech (LX) and electric vehicle maker NIO (NIO), which dropped 5.6% and 5.4% respectively.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by IT firm Sify Technologies (SIFY), which rose 2.9%, followed by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which were up 1.4% and 0.7% respectively.

The decliners from South Asia included IT firm Infosys (INFY), which lost 3.4%.
