Bank Of China (HKG:3988, SHA:601988) has hired Zhao Rong as its chief risk officer effective Tuesday, a Friday bourse filing said.
The board approved the appointment in September, while the lender also received a regulatory go-ahead recently.
Zhao joined the bank in 1998 and has been serving as the general manager of its risk management department since September.
Hong Kong-listed shares of the bank closed nearly 2% higher on Friday.
