Chilwa Minerals (ASX:CHW) said the sample preparation lab it purchased from ALS Laboratories (ASX:ALQ) is scheduled to be fully operational in four weeks.

The lab has arrived at the Zalewa Camp in Malawi, with ALS Laboratories personnel on-site to complete installation and train Chilwa Minerals personnel, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The sample preparation lab is expected to result in cost savings and speed up assay results' turnaround times.
