Chailease Holding (TPE:5871) unit Chailease Glory acquired a 63,800 deadweight tonnage bulk carrier for $35.4 million.
The vessel was purchased from Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, and Xiamen Xiangyu on Tuesday, according to a same-day Taiwan Exchange filing.
The financial services provider will use the vessel for the company's ship operating business.
Shares slid marginally recently.
