Prudential (SGX:K6S, HKG:2378) repurchased 692,074 shares in London on Wednesday at an average price of about 6.56 pounds sterling per share, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The lender also issued 2,639,821 ordinary shares of 5 pence each related to the scrip dividend alternative in respect of the 2024 first interim dividend.
Upon cancellation of the purchased and newly issued shares, the company will have 2,693,011,658 shares in issue.
