Orient Overseas (International)'s (HKG:0316) unit Orient Overseas Container Line is chartering six vessels from various lessors for a term of 15 years commencing from the date of delivery, a Tuesday bourse filing said.

On this basis, the maximum aggregate charter-hire payment payable for all vessels is around 11.2 billion yuan.

The vessels comprise newly-built container vessels, each with a nominal loading capacity of roughly 13,580 TEU.

Shares of the logistics company closed over 2% higher on Tuesday.
