China Shenhua Energy's (SHA:601088, HKG:1088) attributable profit rose 14% year over year to 17.8 billion yuan in the third quarter, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
Basic earnings per share at the coal mining company increased 14% year over year to 0.897 yuan.
Operating income grew 3.4% year over year to 85.8 billion yuan.
Shares jumped 2% in Shanghai and more than 1% in Hong Kong during Monday's morning trading.
