Enterprise Products Partners (EPD) has entered into an agreement with 1PointFive to develop a carbon dioxide transportation network to support its Bluebonnet Sequestration Hub in southeast Texas, the companies said Monday.
The carbon capture, utilization and sequestration firm 1PointFive is a unit of Occidental Petroleum (OXY).
Under the agreement, Enterprise will develop a new pipeline network, co-located with existing pipeline infrastructure, to transport CO2 emissions captured by third parties to the Bluebonnet Sequestration Hub.
The Bluebonnet Sequestration Hub recently received funding from the US Department of Energy to support its development.
