EVE Energy (SHE:300014) posted a net profit attributable to shareholders of 1.05 billion yuan in the third quarter, declining 17.4% from the preceding year, according to a Thursday filing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Earnings per share slipped 17.7% year on year to 0.51 yuan.

The Chinese battery manufacturer generated an operating income of 12.4 billion yuan, sliding 1.3% from a year earlier, the filing said.

Shares of the company soared nearly 12% in recent trade.
