European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Decline in Tuesday Trading

European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were moving lower late Tuesday morning, declining 0.22% to 1,388.98 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by internet browser company Opera (OPRA) and biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies (DBVT), which climbed 14% and 5.8%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Genfit (GNFT) and internet advertising firm Criteo (CRTO), which rose 3.1% and 2.4% respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by financial services company Banco Santander (SAN) and 3D printer company Materialise (MTLS), which fell 2.7% and 1.6% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Ascendis Pharma (ASND) and telecommunications company Nokia (NOK), which were off 1% each.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Akari Therapeutics (AKTX) and financial services company HSBC (HSBC), which were up 5.1% and 3.9% respectively. They were followed by educational publisher Pearson (PSO) and software firm Endava (DAVA), which increased 3.2% and 2.7% respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by oil and gas company BP (BP) and biopharmaceutical company TC Biopharm (TCBP), which dropped 4.1% and 3.4% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Vodafone Group (VOD) and biopharmaceutical company Biodexa Pharmaceuticals (BDRX), which were down 2.1% and 2% respectively.
