PetroChina (HKG:0857, SHA:601857) recorded a profit attributable to owners of 43.9 billion yuan for the third quarter, down 5.3% from 46.4 billion yuan a year earlier.
Earnings per share stood at 0.240 yuan for the three months ended Sept. 30, compared with 0.253 yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
The oil and gas company's quarterly revenue fell 12.4% year over year to 702.4 billion yuan from 802.3 billion yuan.
