China Merchants Bank (HKG:3968, SHA:600036) recorded a 0.8% year-over-year rise in attributable profit for the quarter ended Sept. 30 to 38.4 billion yuan, a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse stated.

Earnings per share rose to 1.52 yuan in the three months, according to the filing.

The lender's net operating income for the quarter declined 2.6% to 79.7 billion yuan from a year prior.
