The Tata Power Co. (NSE:TATAPOWER, BOM:500400) recorded net profit attributable to equity holders 9.26 billion Indian rupees in fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 against 8.75 billion rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share after net movement in regulatory deferral balances came in at 2.90 rupees compared with a year-ago figure of 2.74 rupees, according to a filing to the stock exchanges by the power producer.
Revenue from operations in fiscal Q2, however, fell to 156.97 billion rupees from 157.38 billion rupees a year earlier.
Shares of the company were down over 5% in recent trade.
