BYD (HKG:1211, SHE:002594) reported a net profit attributable to shareholders of 11.61 billion yuan, 11% higher than the prior-year quarter, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Earnings per share were 4.0 yuan, 12% higher than a year ago.
The carmaker's operating revenue was 201.12 billion yuan, a 24% increase from the previous year's quarter.
The company's stocks were down 3% on the Shanghai, Hong Kong bourses recently.
