RALEIGH, N.C.---Kamala Harris urged her supporters in North Carolina to make the most of early voting through Saturday, telling them to knock on doors, text and call friends and reach out to friends and neighbors.

"We have just six days left in one of the most consequential elections of our lifetime-and we have work to do," Harris said at a rally in Raleigh.

North Carolina is among seven key battleground states expected to decide the election between Harris and former President Donald Trump. The vice president noted that North Carolina, along with most of the South, is dealing with restrictions on reproductive rights, and she blamed her opponent for appointing Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade.

Harris was interrupted by a rally attendee protesting the war in Gaza at one point. The vice president responded that she was fighting for democracy, telling the audience, "Unlike Donald Trump, I don't believe people who disagree with me are the enemy. He wants to put them in jail. I'll give them a seat at the table."
