Cathay Pacific Airways (HKG:0293) launched a direct flight service between Hong Kong and Riyadh via a partnership with Riyadh Air, according to a Thursday press release.

The deal included the possibility of code sharing, South China Morning Post reported Thursday.

Although the officials did not share details, the two airlines can partner to increase their global outreach. Riyadh Air recently ordered 60 Airbus jets, SCMP said.
