1303 ET - Some of Schneider National's customers are diverting freight to West Coast ports ahead of the holiday season. Schneider says on a call with analysts that some customers fear disruptions on the East and Gulf coasts after the strike earlier this year. As for how customers will deal with potential tariffs in a second Trump presidency, group president of transportation and logistics Jim Filter says, "It is something that still could be out there ahead of us." Customers could potentially try to avoid tariffs by moving up shipments. Schneider shares are up 4%, echoing other freight stocks. (ben.glickman@wsj.com; @benglickman)
