Rackspace Technology (RXT) said Monday that it is expanding Rackspace Spot to include a new location and an on-demand graphics processing unit, or GPU-as-a-Service backed by NVIDIA (NVDA).
The Rackspace Spot GPU-enabled platform is now hosted in the new Rackspace SJC3 data center in Silicon Valley, the company said.
The advanced GPU service allows customers to use NVIDIA-accelerated computing to speed up complex tasks like artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics.
Shares of Rackspace Technology rose more than 7% recently, while NVIDIA added over 1%.
