SINGAPORE, Nov 5 (Reuters) - A former Sinopec Corp
executive was sentenced to 14 years in jail for taking bribes, China's semi-official news agency China News Service reported on Tuesday.
Duan Yanxiu, former communist party secretary of Sinopec Natural Gas Company, received the jail sentence as well as a fine of 3.9 million yuan ($548,670) at a local court in east China, the report said.
The gas firm operates Sinopec's receiving terminals of liquefied natural gas $(LNG)$, imports LNG and markets the state oil firm's domestic gas productions.
Sinopec did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
