In corporate news, BioNTech (BNTX) expects full-year revenue at the low end of guidance due in part to inventory writedowns, even as variant-adapted COVID-19 vaccines helped boost Q3 results. The shares fell 0.7%.
PACS (PACS) shares tumbled 28% following a report by short-seller Hindenburg Research.
AstraZeneca (AZN) said its experimental obesity pill was well-tolerated by people with type-2 diabetes, Bloomberg reported, citing comments made by a company executive at an industry conference. AstraZeneca shares eased 0.2%.
