North Carolina GOP Governor Candidate Mark Robinson: 'No Regrets'

Embattled Republican gubernatorial candidate Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson stopped by a polling place in Bahama, N.C., to meet voters, but didn't find many to greet. "Election Day is not quite as busy as it has been in past presidential cycles," Robinson told reporters. "I'm sure it'll be a lot busier this evening when folks get off work." He said he thought polling places might be quieter today because many already cast their ballots during early voting.

Former President Donald Trump once praised Robinson as "Martin Luther King on steroids," but distanced himself from the candidate after a report that described allegedly antigay and racist comments he made years ago on an online pornography forum. State Republicans fear that Robinson may hurt Trump's chances of holding on to a state he has won in his two previous presidential contests. "We have no regrets," Robinson said of his campaign. "We've done everything we can to try to win this race."
