American Financial Group Declares Special Dividend of $4 per Share

American Financial Group said its board approved a special dividend of $4 per share of common stock.

The special dividend will be payable on Nov. 26 to shareholders of record on Nov. 15, the company said Tuesday. The special dividend is in addition to the company's regular quarterly cash dividend of 80 cents per share, which was last paid on Oct. 25.

The aggregate amount of the latest special dividend will be approximately $335 million, the insurance holding company said.

In February, the company declared a special cash dividend of $2.50 per share, and in November 2023, it declared a $1.50 per share special dividend.

Including the latest special dividend, the company has declared $50 per share in special dividends since the start of 2021, it said.
