Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) started its inaugural drill program at the Montague East project in Western Australia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The 6,000-meter program will focus on depth extensions and infill resource drilling at Montague-Boulder and Whistler deposits, a combined gold resource of 4.7 million tonnes at 1.8 grams per tonne for 283 thousand ounces of gold, the filing said.
The program is expected to be completed within four weeks.
Brightstar Resources shares rose 2% in afternoon trade.
