Tucker Carlson is partnering with chewing-tobacco company Turning Point Brands to distribute his new nicotine pouch brand Alp, an upstart competitor meant to challenge the runaway success of Zyn.
The companies said that a newly formed 50/50 joint venture between Tucker Carlson Network and Turning Point, called ALP Supply, would handle sales, marketing and distribution for the brand.
The former Fox News personality has launched the brand after being frustrated by Zyn-owner Philip Morris International's response to an off-color comment he made. He has labeled Zyn as a brand for women and liberals.
The Alp pouches are currently available for preorder online, available in three nicotine strengths.
Turning Point is the parent company of tobacco brands like Beech-Nut and Stoker's, as well as Zig-Zag smoking products.
The companies said Thursday that a portion of profits from the joint venture would go to charities that align with its customers' values, such as forest restoration and protecting former K9 servicemembers.
