Australian Agricultural Company (ASX:AAC) reported earnings of AU$0.0392 per share for the six months ended Sept. 30, compared with a loss of AU$0.1763 per share in the year-ago period, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
Net profit after tax was AU$23.6 million, rebounding from a loss of AU$105.5 million a year earlier.
The cattle and beef producer's revenue for the period was AU$195.6 million, up from AU$167.1 million in the year-earlier period. The company noted that its "strategic approach to product allocation and investment in its Wagyu brands and marketing activities" helped it retain a presence in key markets despite "challenging market conditions."
