Sembcorp Industries (SGX:U96), through subsidiary Sembcorp Utilities, signed a joint development agreement with PLN Energi Primer Indonesia and Transportasi Gas Indonesia at COP29 to explore the potential of a hydrogen pipeline project connecting Sumatra, the Riau Islands, and Singapore, according to a Wednesday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
The pipeline would support Sembcorp's partnership with PLN Energi Primer Indonesia to establish Southeast Asia's largest green hydrogen facility in Sumatra, aiming for 100,000 metric tonnes annually.
