XRP, ADA, and Other Older Cryptos Soar as Bitcoin Climbs; Pushes Market Cap Past $3 Trillion

LTC, XLM, and HBAR also printed significant gains of 5.84%, 14.77%, and 18.43%, respectively.

Several older cryptocurrencies, including XRP, Algorand (ALGO), Cardano (ADA), Hedera (HBAR), Litecoin (LTC), and Stellar (XLM), have experienced significant price gains in the past 24 hours. Bitcoin (BTC) also showed strength, breaking above $91,000.

CoinMarketCap data shows the total cryptocurrency market capitalization exceeding $3 trillion. The total trading volume in the past 24 hours fell 12% to $196.28 billion. While Bitcoin attempts to break $100,000, the altcoin sector has exploded, with ADA surging 26.37%.

At the time of writing, ADA is trading at $0.7316 with a massive market capitalization of $25.63 billion and a 176.41% surge in trading volume. In the past week, ADA’s price has increased 69.95% while jumping 108.27% in the past month. Additionally, Cardano is ranked ninth in the market and aims to dethrone XRP.
