Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) said Wednesday it is opening its 1,000th Chipotlane restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri on Thursday.

Chipotlane restaurants have shown higher sales volumes and stronger returns than traditional restaurant formats, the company said, adding that it plans to open 315 to 345 new restaurants in 2025, with at least 80% featuring Chipotlanes.
