Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong (HKG:0215) unit Hutchison Telephone has provisionally won the bid to acquire two radio frequency bands, as announced by the Communications Authority of Hong Kong, a Wednesday bourse filing said.
The acquisition, which is subject to compliance with certain grant stage procedures, will allow the company to continue to provide public mobile telecommunications services, including 5G services, in Hong Kong for a 15-year term.
The total spectrum utilization fee and estimated annual license fee for the spectrum compromising the two bands will be around HK$637 million.
